Por otro lado, el problema de cambios de aceites minerales a sint\u00e9ticos o semisint\u00e9ticos en motores con desgaste es que el aceite no va corregir los da\u00f1os existentes. Si el motor tiene fugas de aceite mineral, va a seguir con fugas de aceites sint\u00e9ticos. Es mejor es hacer las reparaciones requeridas y despu\u00e9s pasar a usar un aceite sint\u00e9tico. Pero si el motor est\u00e1 en perfectas condiciones de utilizaci\u00f3n, esto es totalmente posible y va a ayudar alargar la vida del motor y mejorar el consumo de combustible.<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>\u00bfConviene usar aceite sint\u00e9tico en lugar de mineral?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En los motores de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n es mandatorio utilizar aceites sint\u00e9ticos porque est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para ello. Los veh\u00edculos modernos buscan disminuir al m\u00e1ximo la emisi\u00f3n de gases, y la manera m\u00e1s eficiente de hacerlo es la reducci\u00f3n del consumo de combustible. Los aceites de baja viscosidad ofrecen menor fricci\u00f3n fluida y ayudan a ahorrar combustible. Pero es importante observar que los materiales, el maquinado y las brechas de estos motores fueron desarrollados para utilizar los aceites de baja viscosidad, como 0W-20 o 0W-16, y pueden da\u00f1ar motores m\u00e1s antiguos. Siempre se debe consultar al fabricante de un motor m\u00e1s antiguo antes de migrar a aceites de menor viscosidad. En motores muy viejos no es conveniente utilizar aceites sint\u00e9ticos porque probablemente se desprenda basura y surjan problemas que estaban camuflados por dep\u00f3sitos preexistentes.<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>\u00bfSe puede mezclar el aceite sint\u00e9tico con el mineral?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esto solo puede suceder en situaciones de emergencia dado que al mezclarlos se pierden las ventajas de desempe\u00f1o que brindan los aceites sint\u00e9ticos. Adem\u00e1s, normalmente los aceites sint\u00e9ticos tienen rangos de viscosidad que muy dif\u00edcilmente pueden cumplir los aceites minerales.\u00a0<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>Si el aceite se pone oscuro, \u00bfes malo?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. El aceite debe ponerse oscuro. Cuando se quema el combustible se produce holl\u00edn, residuos de la combusti\u00f3n que son inevitables. Incluso, la degradaci\u00f3n del propio aceite contribuye al cambio de color del lubricante. El aditivo detergente del aceite evita que dicho holl\u00edn se pegue en las superficies internas del motor y que se produzcan problemas graves, al mismo tiempo que el aditivo dispersante lo mantiene en suspensi\u00f3n en el aceite. Las part\u00edculas m\u00e1s grandes son retenidas en el filtro y las menores son eliminadas cuando se hace el cambio de aceite y el respectivo filtro.\u00a0<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>\u00bfLos motores con GNC ensucian m\u00e1s el lubricante?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. Los motores con GNC no ensucian m\u00e1s el lubricante. Es m\u00e1s, hasta es probable que se prolongue la vida del lubricante, ya que la combusti\u00f3n del gas (si est\u00e1 todo bien calibrado, con el avance en el sentido correcto, entre otros) es mucho m\u00e1s limpia. Cuando ya ingresa al cilindro lo hace en forma de gas, no en gotitas que se tienen que vaporizar. El gas tiene una excelente combusti\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>Si veo humo en el escape, \u00bfestoy quemando aceite?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No siempre. Puede pasar que cuando hace fr\u00edo salga vapor de color blanco, que pasados unos segundos desaparece. Pero si eso no sucede y comienza a salir un humo color azulado, seguramente haya alg\u00fan problema en el motor.\u00a0<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>Un auto que estuvo detenido durante mucho tiempo, \u00bfrequiere un cambio de aceite?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Siempre quien determina el nivel de calidad y los intervalos de cambio es el fabricante del motor. Nuestra recomendaci\u00f3n es seguir los requerimientos del fabricante. No hay c\u00f3mo determinar un kilometraje o cu\u00e1ntas horas puede durar un aceite, pues hay muchas variables, como tipo de utilizaci\u00f3n, calidad del combustible, etc.\u00a0 Lo ideal es cambiarlo cada un a\u00f1o, pues la humedad que se acumula en motores inactivos puede da\u00f1ar algunos aditivos y crear problemas al motor. El costo del lubricante respecto del costo del veh\u00edculo es del 1 %, entonces no vale la pena arriesgar la vida del motor por ese costo tan bajo.<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>Al utilizar aceite sint\u00e9tico, \u00bfel filtro dura m\u00e1s?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No. El aceite sint\u00e9tico ya de por s\u00ed dura m\u00e1s que el mineral por su calidad, su resistencia a temperaturas, a presiones y porque se descompone menos. Pero cuando se cambie el lubricante, tambi\u00e9n se debe cambiar el filtro.\u00a0<\/span><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b><i>\u00bfVale la pena colocar un aditivo extra a un motor?<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si el aceite tiene grado de viscosidad y nivel de desempe\u00f1o conforme requiere el fabricante del motor, no se recomienda utilizar aditivos suplementarios.
